Provides timely sample collection, accurate chart documentation, and photo documentation of all cases. Participates in other professional activities and services as directed.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ol> <li>Formal Education Required: </li></ol> <p>a. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)</p> <ul> <li>Applicants with an Associate's degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment </li></ul> <p>b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)</p> <p>c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio</p> <p>d. Obtain SANE training with in the first 6 months of hire and work on required hours to sit for SANE-A certification examination.</p> <p>e. Forensic training preferred.</p> <p>f. Forensic photography training preferred.</p> <p>g. SANE-A certification preferred.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Experience & Training Required: </li></ol> <p>a. Minimum of 2 years clinical nursing which may include experience with victims of trauma, abuse, psychological disorders and/or addictive behavior.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: </li></ol> <p>a. Demonstrates ability to exercise appropriate judgment and confidentiality with regards to administrative and clinical duties</p> <p>b. Ability to work well within a team environment while assuming a collegial relationship and offering constructive feedback; supporting team goals; supporting and encouraging team members; collaborating with all health care team members to problem solve, consolidate work, reduce costs and accomplish the objectives of the department.</p> <p>c. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external publics and groups.</p> <p>d. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to institute change.</p> <p>e. Ability to assess, implement and direct effective and appropriate nursing practice in forensic nursing.</p> <p>f. Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Level of Physical Demands: </li></ol> <p>a.
