<p>Academy of Early Learning is seeking a Building-based Substitute for the 2024-2025 school year to provide instruction, and support, and to promote student learning in the absence of the regular classroom teacher or instructional assistant.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Reports to the building principal or school secretary upon arrival at the school building for daily assignments. </li><li>Review with the principal all plans and schedules to be followed during the teaching day. </li><li>Consult with the principal and/or staff to resolve questions and/or concerns. </li><li>Maintains as fully as possible the established routines and procedures of the school and classroom to which they are assigned. </li><li>Develops and maintains a positive learning environment. </li><li>Works cooperatively with staff. </li><li>Respects student privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of privileged information. </li><li>Teaches the lesson outlined and as prepared by the absent teacher. </li><li>Consults as appropriate, with the building principal before initiating any teaching or other procedures. </li><li>Assumes responsibility for overseeing student behavior in class and during lunch and recess periods. </li><li>Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which regular teachers are subject and which good teaching practice dictates. </li><li>Performs any other tasks and assumes other responsibilities as the principal or designee may from time to time assign and delegate. </li></ul> <p>SALARY: Per the GEA Master Agreement Unit C Salary Schedule</p>
