<p>Job Responsibilities</p> <p>Responsibilities include teaching transitional mathematics courses to early college high school students, and traditional college students. Teaching varying schedules to a diverse student population at various locations; following the established syllabus; utilizing technology; using multiple instructional methods that emphasize student success and retention; assessing learning; and participating in the department's continuous improvement process.</p> <p>TEACHING PERFORMANCE - The ability to present course materials through appropriate instructional strategies to facilitate the learning process.</p> <p>INSTRUCTIONAL DEVELOPMENT - The development, revision, and maintenance of courses and curriculum through course objectives, outlines, and appropriate materials.</p> <p>INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT - The effective use of required office hours, exhibition of effective classroom management and control, and timely and accurately submitted reports.</p> <p>STUDENT ADVISEMENT - The participation of the faculty member, when applicable, in assisting students in personal and professional development.</p> <p>COLLEGE AND/OR COMMUNITY SERVICES - The participation in College activities and the promotion of the College through public service.</p> <p>PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT - The participation of the faculty member in activities designed to develop professional skills so as to maintain and improve proficiency in his/her present position.</p> <p>Minimum and Additional Requirements</p> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Natural Sciences Education, or a related discipline.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Traditional classroom, remote (synchronous), and online (asynchronous) teaching experience is preferred. Master's Degree in any discipline, with 9-12 graduate semester hours in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Natural Sciences Education, or a related discipline; demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations representing a wide range of abilities, ages, nationalities, and cultures; experience with instructional technology; knowledge of and demonstrated ability to implement Innovative teaching strategies.
