Therefore, we invite and welcome applicants from traditionally underrepresented groups in healthcare - people of color, people with disabilities, LGBTQ community, and/or gender expansive, first and second-generation immigrants, veterans, and people from different socioeconomic backgrounds - to apply.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>Cardiology RN</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>principal duties and responsibilities:</p> <p>Triages phone calls from patients, families, providers, etc.; responds to clinical related communications, as directed.</p> <p>Contacts patients to update medication reconciliation lists; supports management of prescription refills; and handles insurance prior authorization of medications.</p> <p>Conducts insurance prior authorization of diagnostic testing and procedures.</p> <p>Tracks, collects, and reviews outpatient test results; reviews abnormal results with supervising physician/mid-level practitioner; and informs patient of test results and clinical impact/plan.</p> <p>Completes various medical and administrative forms, e.g. disability, VNA documentation.</p> <p>Assists with clinical instruction for patients, e.g. medication teaching.</p> <p>Supports administrative operations by acting as a clinical liaison to administrative support staff.</p> <p>Maintains and follows patient care protocols.</p> <p>Performs other duties, as directed.</p> <p>Skills/abilities/competencies required:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. </li><li>Ability to problem-solve, function as a resource to other members of the team and resolves complex issues on behalf of providers and patients. </li><li>Exceptional organizational skills, flexibility to manage multiple tasks and attention to detail. </li><li>Knowledge of computer applications necessary to function in an ambulatory setting, e.g. MS Outlook, MS Office Suite. </li><li>Comfort in a practice environment that promotes patient-centered care. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications - External</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Associates Degree in Nursing Required </li><li>Registered Nurse, Massachusetts licensure </li><li>Current BLS certification </li><li>Relevant professional experience in cardiology </li></ul> <p>Working conditions:</p> <p>Office and outpatient care environments.</p> <p>Can work in a hybrid model following the onboarding period</p> <p>About Mass General Hospital</p> <p>Mass General Hospital is a world-renowned hospital that provides the highest quality care to patients.
