No</p> <p>County Saratoga</p> <p>Street Address Saratoga Tree Nursery</p> <p>City Saratoga Springs</p> <p>StateNY</p> <p>Zip Code12866</p> <p>Duties Description A Facilities Operation Assistant 1 may perform a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of State-owned buildings and facilities, the surrounding grounds, and the vehicles and equipment used in maintaining these sites.</p> <p>Duties May Include:</p> <ul> <li>Clean buildings, facilities, (including) restrooms and restock supplies. </li><li>Perform routine maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and surrounding grounds using the appropriate tools and equipment. </li><li>Perform other maintenance tasks such as collecting and disposing of trash, mowing lawns, and snow removal by shovel or powered snow removal equipment. </li><li>Move furniture and equipment in the performance of custodial functions. </li><li>Replace light bulbs; wash and dust fixtures, furnishings, floors, corridors, stairs, stairwells, and partitions using appropriate supplies and equipment; including ladders and scaffolding. </li><li>Pick up and remove hazardous articles from floors and equipment and place them in designated receptacles or appropriate locations. </li><li>Will be required to work at heights using ladders, scaffolding, platforms and boom lifts; operate small equipment including lawnmowers, snow blowers, weed eaters, floor buffers, vacuums, etc.; and lift and move object up to 50 lbs. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications There are no education or experience qualifications for this position. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to</p> <p>operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.</p> <p>Additional Comments This is a hourly appointment currently funded through 11/30/2025, with a likelihood of continuing beyond that date. Program needs and funding will determine actual termination date.</p> <p>Actual work schedule, duties and travel requirements may vary and will be discussed at the interview.</p> <p>Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position.</p> <p>Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain.</p> <p>Must be able to work in remote areas.</p> <p>Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions.</p> <p>Travel may be required.</p> <p>Overtime may be required.</p> <p>Overnight travel may be required.</p> <p>Weekends and holidays may be required.</p> <p>Must be available for emergency response.</p> <p>Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies.</p> <p>Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.</p> <p>The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) is committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.
