Here, you will work alongside a dedicated team of caregivers, receive endless support and appreciation, and build a rewarding career.</p> <p>As the Lead Pharmacist, you will perform all duties outlined in the Pharmacist job description while also providing leadership to assigned caregivers by proactively assisting in high level clinical tasks, operations, training and education and acting as a liaison between caregivers and management.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works weekend days, 7:00am-7:30pm.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead and coordinate work activities for assigned practice areas and provide feedback to caregivers regarding performance under the direction of the manager.</p> </li><li> <p>Train and mentor caregivers and residents and precept students.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in interviewing and recommend selection of candidates.</p> </li><li> <p>Triage issues to management and follow-up.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in operational tasks such as workflow oversight, process decision making, project implementation, and drug shortage management.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure and maintain quality control in regard to patient care and medication and equipment usage.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent and resolve potential and actual drug related problems.</p> </li><li> <p>Advise prescriber of medication related issues and recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.</p> </li><li> <p>Review, interpret, clarify, enter and verify patient's information and medication orders for processing.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist with health-system level decision-making related to practice area, committee work, and decision making for relevant policies.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide drug information support for pertinent drug information questions.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide management support and demonstrate leadership for assigned practice area.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>PharmD or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy</p> </li><li> <p>Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire</p> </li><li> <p>For individuals required to administer immunizations:?current?Basic Life Support (BLS)?certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) and?completion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course in?the administration of immunizations or certification?obtained within 90 days of hire</p> </li><li> <p>For individuals required to respond to adult or pediatric?cardiopulmonary arrest events: current?Advanced?Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification or Pediatric?Advanced Life Support (PALS)?certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or?certification obtained within one year of hire</p> </li><li> <p>Completion of a Health-system Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (HSPAL) PGY2 Residency OR completion of either a post-graduate year 1 (PGY-1) or post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) and one year of relevant pharmacy experience OR three years relevant pharmacy experience</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Previous leadership experience </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
