<p>Employment Type:</p> <p>Full time</p> <p>Shift:</p> <p>Description:</p> <ul> <li>Posting </li></ul> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The receptionist is responsible for supporting office operations and works independently and interdependently with other office staff to provide efficient, cost effective, quality patient care.</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <p>Promote a healthy work environment</p> <p>Work collaboratively with CNY Family Group</p> <p>Review CCDs for CNY Family Group and route to appropriate team members</p> <p>Collaborate and communicate regularly with management regarding goals, needs/concerns</p> <p>Phone support - Incoming and outgoing phone calls</p> <p>Scanning and faxing documentation</p> <p>General Performance Criteria:</p> <ul> <li>Performs critical job functions that lead to a stream-lined and efficient patient experience </li><li>Attention to detail to ensure schedules are accurate based on provider preference sheets and office standards </li><li>Meets performance measures in place for each job function and complete job functions by established review date </li><li>Works collaboratively with staff and management </li></ul> <p>Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains confidentiality related to patients, family and employees and information specific to service area. </li><li>Answers the telephone and routes calls to proper person. When personnel are unavailable for telephone calls, records and delivers messages. </li><li>Uses appropriate diction and grammar in conversations. </li></ul> <p>Customer Service:</p> <ul> <li>Employs professional manners and tact in all dealings. </li></ul> <p>Obtains necessary information while remaining courteous about interruptions caused by other calls or events, models calmness.</p> <ul> <li>Customer service orientated. </li><li>Adheres to hospital confidentiality statement. </li></ul> <p>Service Specific Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Receives and distributes messages, packages and supplies to the appropriate person or place. </li><li>Implements the day-to-day operations of specific service or environment. </li><li>Maintains a safe and secure environment. </li></ul> <p>Equipment:</p> <ul> <li>Displays competency related to performing job skills. Including but not limited to: PC terminals, telephones, copier, e-mail system, fax machine </li></ul> <p>Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure:</p> <p>High school graduate or equivalent, business school or formal secretarial training a plus. One to two years' experience preferred.</p> <p>Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.</p> <p>Special Equipment, Skills, or Other Requirements:</p> <p>Multi-line telephones, PC and appropriate software knowledge, knowledge of office equipment and supplies. A solid understanding of service-related terminology. Good communication skills both oral and written as well as good interpersonal skills required. Customer service orientated.</p> <p>Work Environment and Hazards:</p> <p>Office setting - exposure Class I or II; service specific.</p> <p>Remote option may be available following training. Training in office for 4 to 8 weeks with the option to shift to remote work. Remote work will stay 100% depending on office needs and productivity</p> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <p>Light work - standing, walking, sitting, and lifting.</p> <p>Work Contact Group:</p> <p>All services, employees, medical staff, patients, visitors, and various regulatory and professional agency staff.</p> <p>Supervised By:</p> <p>Manager or Coordinator</p> <p>Pay Range: $17.75-$23.60</p> <p>Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
