<p>Finanical Analyst I - Managed Care</p> <p>Summa Health Systems</p> <p>Full Time, Benefit Eligible</p> <p>1077 Gorge Blvd Akron OH 44310</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Creates and maintains applicable Managed Care Contract Financial Databases. Develops and provides financial analysis to support the managed care negotiation and compliance initiatives.</p> <ol> <li>Formal Education Required: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Experience & Training Required: </li></ol> <ul> <li>2-4 years of related accounting/finance/managed care </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: </li></ol> <ul> <li>Experience in current modeling, spreadsheet and presentation techniques and applications </li><li>Strong analytical skills and abilities </li><li>Ability to communicate and present financial and operational analysis concepts to management and staff </li><li>Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Ability to understand contract language, requirements, and responsibilities of all those a party to the contract </li><li>Assumes personal accountability for the preparation and completion of projects and analysis </li><li>Possesses experience with database and analysis functions </li><li>Ability to organize multiple issues, keeps them updated, and communicates their requirements </li><li>Possesses general working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Access </li><li>Possesses basic knowledge of M.C. contracting processes, terminology and provisions </li><li>Ability to understand healthcare/managed care issues/trends </li><li>Ability to understand hospital operations as it relates to managed care. </li><li>Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity. </li></ul> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>Summa Health System is recognized as one of the region's top employers by a number of third party organizations, including NorthCoast 99.
