<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Permatex is currently looking for a Chemical Mixer - Team Lead on 2nd shift. Hours are 3:00pm - 11:00pm, Monday - Friday.</p> <p>Pay rate is $29-$33 an hour depending on experience.</p> <p>BASIC FUNCTION</p> <p>To operate, oversee, and coordinate shift production work for the mixing of specific formulas, maintenance, and changeover activities.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES</p> <ul> <li> <p>Coordinates and schedules production in an efficient manner while attaining quality</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors and reacts to Statistical Process Control information, shuts down equipment when there are process problems and makes necessary corrections</p> </li><li> <p>Train new mixers</p> </li><li> <p>Schedules and performs routine preventative maintenance of equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Identifies, isolates, and corrects equipment malfunctions</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to accurately measure, weigh, and add chemical raw materials manually or automatically</p> </li><li> <p>Manufacture material according to batch cards and mixing work instructions using computer software</p> </li><li> <p>Perform routine batch quality checks and testing</p> </li><li> <p>Sanitizes/Cleans mixing equipment per work instructions at scheduled intervals</p> </li><li> <p>Monitors integrity of mixes and shuts down operation if out of compliance</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for accurate and timely reporting of production, labor and scrap incurred during the shift</p> </li><li> <p>Assures that chemical mixers are trained in operations that pertain to the mixing area</p> </li><li> <p>Assures MRO parts are maintained at desired levels, ordering those items as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Promotes and follows all safety guidelines and procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Recommends safety improvements as needed</p> </li><li> <p>Performs various other duties as necessary.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li> <p>High school diploma/GED required</p> </li><li> <p>3-4 years of batch mixing experience in hand cleaner or related industry</p> </li><li> <p>Must be computer literate</p> </li><li> <p>Must be certified to drive all types of lift trucks: low-lift, fork-lift, high-lift</p> </li><li> <p>Must be able to understand and carry out oral and/or written instructions.</p> </li></ul> <p>RELATIONSHIPS</p> <p>Interface with manufacturing, research and development and quality departments. Works very closely with Manufacturing Manager(s).</p> <p>POSITIONS SUPERVISED (IF ANY)</p> <p>Chemical Mixers on their respective shift.</p>
