It provides comprehensive and specialized care for infants, children, and adolescents and is a leader in pediatric research, contributing to significant advancements in medical science. BCH also offers a specialized programs and services, including cariology, neurology, oncology, and orthopedics. The hospital is affiliated with Harvard Medical School and plays a key role in training the future pediatric healthcare professionals. BCH's family-centered care emphasizes a holistic approach, providing extensive support services for families so they have comprehensive care and support through their medical journey.</p> <p>The opportunity</p> <p>The College COACH summer internship is a paid program running from Monday, June 9-Friday, August 8, 2025. In addition to on-the-job training and work experience, the program includes workshops and additional development programs. College students will work 35 hours/week.</p> <p>Child Life Services consists of child life specialists, music therapists, artist in residence, Seacrest studio team, patient tech specialists, and more. We work directly with patients to help them get through their stay and normalize their time here.</p> <p>This role is fully on-site at 300 Longwood Avenue, Boston.</p> <p>What you'll do</p> <p>The COACH student would be supervised by our Patient Tech Specialists- often providing behind the scenes tech support to staff throughout our department (for iPads, laptops, gaming systems, and more). In addition, the COACH student would also work with our Patient Tech Specialists to encourage and actively participate in gaming with patients (referrals received and tracked).</p> <p>This position will have patient interaction at the bedside and in group settings, mostly through video games and technology.</p> <p>What you'll get</p> <p>This will help with basic IT and patient facing work like Child Life and Social work.</p> <p>Who you are</p> <p>You have:</p> <ul> <li>Basic email and Microsoft office skills </li><li>Ability to speak in-person with a wide array of people </li><li>Welcoming attitude </li><li>Willingness to try new things </li><li>Not afraid of technology </li></ul> <p>Recruitment process</p> <ul> <li> <p>Internship opportunities: We aim to have all summer internship opportunities posted by February 28.
