<p>Position Title Site Director, Northeast Ohio Correctional Center (Ohio) - Correctional Education Job Description</p> <p>The Site Director provides administrative support for the Ashland University Correctional Department for individuals who are incarcerated at these facilities.</p> <ul> <li>Act as the liaison between the facility and Ashland University. </li><li>Work with the Associate Director of Programs to ensure the identification, screening and recruiting of students aligns with the Department goals. </li><li>Assists students with completion of admissions documents. </li><li>Assists students with financial aid processes, including FAFSA, etc. </li><li>Assists students with course registrations each semester. </li><li>With the Associate Director of Programs on projects enrollment goals and class sizes each semester. </li><li>Maintains site inventory of tablets, student textbooks and instructional supplies. </li><li>Distributes equipment and materials to students and maintain a record of what has been provisioned. </li><li>Maintains student privacy and record keeping according to the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). </li><li>Monitors attendance and faculty interaction with students. </li><li>Conducts and documents weekly meetings with individual students to review attendance, GPA, academic standards, academic progress, forms, etc. </li><li>Assists students with accessing extracurricular activities. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree preferred or a minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience. </li><li>Ability to use Learning Management System Software. </li><li>Computer skills with ability to troubleshoot as well as operate most office programs. </li><li>Strong written and verbal communication. </li><li>Experience in advising and/or training others. </li><li>Problem solving skills. </li><li>Adherence to deadlines. </li><li>Organization and Management skills, with attention to detail. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in correctional education preferred. </li><li>Experience working in higher education strongly preferred. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Work site is within the prison facilities and Site Director is required to work both at the facility and remotely when necessary. </li><li>Some evening and weekend hours at the facility as necessary. </li><li>Site Director will be required to lift and transport course materials, textbooks and tablets as needed. </li><li>In addition, local travel required with some occasional non-local travel involved. </li></ul> <p>Anticipated Start Date of New Hire 03/24/2025 Anticipated Number of Hours Working per Week 40 Shift Required?
