<p>POSITION SUMMARY The Laboratory Assistant/Phlebotomist is responsible for: # Performing venipunctures and capillary draws on Inpatients, Emergency Department patients, Outpatients, and outside clients such as nursing home patients, as required. Patient ages served are newborn to geriatric. Answering the telephone, taking messages and acting as the Customer Service Representative of the Laboratory (looking up results, phoning/faxing results, etc.) Performing and processing Holter Monitors. Acting as a general receptionist for the Laboratory. # # QUALIFICATIONS Education:#High school diploma # Experience: Preference is given to persons with prior phlebotomy training#either through an accredited course or previous experience.
