<p>Pay: $20 per hour</p> <p>Shift: Part-time, 20 hours/week</p> <p>Position Purpose</p> <p>Under the direct supervision of the Director of the Mathematics Center for Excellence, the Educational Specialist</p> <p>supports student success by providing academic services and supplemental education initiatives. This includes</p> <p>tutoring, academic coaching, and assisting with various academic support services.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ol> <li>Tutoring </li></ol> <p>? Provide specialized and general tutoring support in the Math Center for courses including, but not limited to:</p> <p>Applied Mathematics, College Algebra, Introductory Statistics, Pre-Calculus, Bio-Statistics, and Nursing Dosage</p> <p>Calculations.</p> <ol start="2"> <li>Academic Coaching </li></ol> <p>? Guide students in developing and enhancing academic skills, learning strategies, and performance.</p> <ol start="3"> <li>Supplemental Education </li></ol> <p>? Collaborate with the Director to implement and support supplemental education programs, workshops, and</p> <p>resources.</p> <ol start="4"> <li>Cross-Functional Support </li></ol> <p>? Cross-train in all functional areas of the Academic Success Center (ASC) and provide basic coverage, as</p> <p>necessary.</p> <ol start="5"> <li>General Responsibilities </li></ol> <p>? Maintain accurate records and organize data for reporting purposes.</p> <p>? Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and institutional goals.</p> <p>Qualifications - Education, Experience, and Skills</p> <p>Education</p> <p>? Bachelor's Degree required.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>? Demonstrated experience providing academic support or tutoring.</p> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <p>? Knowledge of computers and instructional technology applications.</p> <p>? Ability to organize and maintain accurate data and records.</p> <p>? Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills to engage effectively with diverse student populations.</p> <p>?
