<p>This Opportunity</p> <p>About the Project:</p> <p>The Frederick Douglas Tunnel Program (FDTP) includes the design and construction of two new high-capacity tunnels that will replace the Baltimore & Potomac (B&P) Tunnel for passenger travel along with three new ventilation facilities, new bridges, roads, utilities, tracks alignment, upgrading West Baltimore station, and upgrading the existing B&P tunnel. The FDTP will:</p> <ul> <li>Reduce travel time along the Northeast Corridor (NEC) between New York City and Washington, DC. </li><li>Accommodate existing and projected travel demand for intercity and commuter passenger services. </li><li>Eliminate impediments along this section of the NEC. </li><li>Provide greater operational reliability, and safety. </li></ul> <p>The FDTP is phase one of a two phase plan, with phase two being the addition of two more tunnels.</p> <p>WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Controls Manager to support the Frederick Douglas Tunnel Program (FDTP). This is a full-time position located in Philadelphia, PA. This position requires experience in rail and transportation projects and programs.</p> <p>Your Impact</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide regular briefing to project manager on project financials, schedule status, issues, and concerns </li><li>Develop and monitor an effective system of program/project cost controls </li><li>Engage specifically in planning, staffing, scheduling, budget management, quality control, safety, and coordination of subcontractors and Internal technical and support staff. </li><li>Prepare monthly analyses and reports on expenditures, progress, commitments, budget performance and schedule performance </li><li>Ensure all required tasks are performed on-time and within budget. </li><li>Provide all necessary documents, information, and monthly reports to client, as needed. </li><li>Resolve issues with contract fulfillment in a timely manner and ensure that all aspects of the program remain on schedule and within budget. </li><li>Remain current in latest transit and rail engineering techniques and practices. </li><li>Collaborates with professionals from a variety of disciplines, other engineers, planners, and infrastructure authorities on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects, as well as proposal and business development opportunities. </li><li>Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. </li><li>Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. </li></ul> <p>Who You Are</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Minimum 12+ years of relevant experience in large scale rail and systems projects. </li><li>Strong understanding of project schedule and cost estimating </li><li>Demonstrated experience with State and local governments, contractors, transportation agencies and professional organizations. </li><li>Strong project controls skills and experience. </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. </li><li>Strong (proven) management and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP's health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies. </li><li>Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs. </li><li>Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>None. </li></ul> <p>#LI-AC1</p>
