<p>POSITION: Cheer Coach-Football Season (Alexandria Monroe Jr./Sr. High School)</p> <p>POST DATE: March 11, 2025 (2025-2026 school year)</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY: A cheerleading coach is responsible for leading a team of cheerleaders to perform</p> <p>at athletic events, competitions, and other public appearances. They are expected to create team spirit, motivate and inspire their team, and teach them various skills and techniques.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement cheerleading routines and choreography. </li><li>Coordinate the team's practice schedule and attend all practices and games. </li><li>Prepare the team for competitions and act as a liaison with other coaches. </li><li>Teach cheerleading techniques, including tumbling, stunts, jumps, and dance. </li><li>Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive team environment, promoting team spirit and unity. </li><li>Mentor and motivate athletes, providing guidance, feedback, and support to help them achieve their goals. </li><li>Work with school administration to ensure compliance with all necessary requirements and regulations, including safety and liability issues. </li><li>Communicate with parents and coordinate team events and fundraising activities. </li></ul> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Experience as a cheerleader or cheerleading coach. </li><li>Strong knowledge of cheerleading techniques and routines. </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. </li><li>Ability to motivate and inspire athletes to achieve their goals. </li><li>Organizational and management skills, including the ability to schedule and plan practices and events. </li><li>Familiarity with safety guidelines and regulations for cheerleading activities. </li><li>Dedication to promoting a positive team spirit and inclusive environment for all team members. </li></ul> <p>APPLICATION PROCESS:</p> <p>Interested candidates should submit a resume to Cary House at chouse@alex.k12.in.us.
