As valued team members, students are also encouraged to share and implement their own ideas, enhancing both their personal growth and the collective success of the team.</p> <p>Description</p> <p>Description:</p> <ul> <li>Work with a technical planning team to support the planning and installation of equipment and structure as required for new model integration, refurbishment, and continuous improvement projects. </li><li>Projects will range from small upgrade and improvement projects (change management) to new model projects. </li><li>Other tasks may include, but not limited to: design, project management, digitalization and scanning, CAD, simulations, programming, etc. </li></ul> <p>The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:</p> <ul> <li>Support planning and installation topics. </li><li>Manage contractors to maintain schedule </li><li>Technical verification of installation. </li><li>Creation of bid documents. </li><li>Develop scope of work for mechanical or controls projects. </li><li>Small projects they can lead. </li><li>Work with team to develop larger scope projects (new model). </li><li>Support with managing contractors and oversee installation. </li><li>Small support projects for innovation and manufacturing improvements. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering </li><li>Willingness to learn. </li><li>Team player mindset. </li><li>Self-driven to push projects and tasks forward. </li><li>Good Communication skills. </li><li>Problem Solving / Analytical skills. </li><li>Organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. </li><li>MS Office knowledge required. </li><li>Basic CAD knowledge (preferred 3D). </li><li>Preferred but not mandatory: Excel macro, Sharepoint, Apex, etc. </li><li>Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major) </li><li>Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States. </li><li>Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application. </li><li>Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week). </li><li>Transfer students must have a GPA from current university. </li><li>MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT </li><li>Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term. </li><li>THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 11th - December 12th, 2025. </li></ul> <p>Mechanical Engineering / Planning Co-Op (Fall 2025)</p> <p>20250314</p> <p>Automotive</p> <p>Spartanburg, SC</p> <p>United States</p> <p>Legal Entity:</p> <p>BMW Manufacturing Co., LLC</p> <p>Spartanburg, SC</p> <p>Job Field:</p> <p>Strategic Planning</p> <p>Job Id:</p> <p>155120</p> <p>Publication Date:</p> <p>14.03.2025</p> <p>Internship</p> <p>FullTime</p> <p>Print Page</p>
