Provides bed assignments for incoming emergency department patients; communicates intradepartmental patient movement to emergency registrars; collaborates with charge physician when problems or bottlenecks occur; provides direct patient care to maintain patient flow.</p> <p>Formal Education Required:</p> <p>a. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN)</p> <ul> <li>Applicants with an Associate's degree will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3) years of employment </li></ul> <p>b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN)</p> <p>c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio</p> <p>Experience and Training Required:</p> <p>a. Three (3) years nursing experience in an emergency department.</p> <p>b. Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio</p> <p>c. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification</p> <p>d. Current TNCC (Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum) certification for required work locations</p> <p>e. Current NVCI certification for required work locations</p> <p>Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:</p> <p>a. Ability to provide coverage at free standing emergency department sites as needed.</p> <p>b. Demonstrates a high level of clinical competence that is recognized by peers.</p> <p>c. Ability to effectively communicate clearly and sensitively verbally and in writing with physicians, employees, patients and families, healthcare professionals and others.</p> <p>d. Ability to assume collegial relationships with physicians, other health care providers, and patients/families.</p> <p>e. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</p> <p>f. Ability to prioritize work and solve problems.</p> <p>g. Ability to expedite processes by coordinating the work efforts of others.</p> <p>h. Assumes accountability for demonstrating behaviors consistent with the customer service policy.</p> <p>i. Population Specific Competency: Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.</p> <p>Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled</p> <p>$38.30/hr - $45.96/hr</p> <p>The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range.
