<p>Title: Systems Administrator I</p> <p>Work Location: USA OH Cleveland Prospect Ave HQ</p> <p>Must haves: Experience with installing and trouble shooting images within the Linux system.</p> <p>Nice to have skills: Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, network hardware, and network administration Experience with remote administration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef. Scripting with PERL and PYTHON. Security protocals as systems are patched quarterly.</p> <p>The Linux System Administrator will install, configure, document, monitor, manage, update, and support PC hardware, peripherals, operating system, e-mail client, browser, and office suite used in more than 4,000 Sherwin-Williams paint stores and Automotive Division branches located in the United states, Canada, and the Caribbean. The systems supply the computing platform for internally developed business applications used to record Point of Sale, general accounting, and operational transactions for the Sherwin-Williams wholesale/retail paint stores and Sherwin-Williams Automotive Division branches. The systems are geographically dispersed, deployed using a replicated site model, and remotely administered and supported.</p> <p>The software platform consists of</p> <ul> <li>Oracle Enterprise Linux </li><li>Progress OpenEdge RDBMS </li><li>LibreOffice office suite </li><li>Firefox web browser </li><li>Thunderbird e-mail client </li><li>Internally developed paint store management applications </li></ul> <p>Mandatory Skills:</p> <p>1-3 years Experience as a Linux Administrator Shell scripting</p> <p>Desired Skills:</p> <p>Installation and configuration of Linux on hardware and VM Experience with C, C++, or Java programing Familiarity with TCP/IP protocols, network hardware, and network administration Experience with remote administration tools such as Ansible, Puppet, and Chef</p>
