<p>Job Description:</p> <p>HVAC Grant Coordinator (Special Programs Coordinator)</p> <p>This is a grant funded position, with funding anticipated to continue until 2027.</p> <p>BARGAINING UNIT/NON-UNIT, CLASSIFICATION (If Applicable): MCCC, Special Programs Coordinator</p> <p>ANTICIPATED START DATE: As soon as possible</p> <p>SALARY RANGE: Rank: Grade 4 with a Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent: Salary range is $63,159 - $68,159. Actual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience in accordance with the MCCC collective bargaining agreement provisions.</p> <p>GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:</p> <p>Under the general supervision of the Energy Technology Program Manager, the HVAC Grant Coordinator will provide coordination, support, and fiscal administration of the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center (MassCEC) HVAC Implementation Grant at Greenfield Community College. This role will also work closely with the Energy Technologies Program Manager, Workforce Development Community Partners, GCC marketing team, Employers and other local stakeholders to enrich training and career pathways for HVAC technicians.</p> <p>EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate and monitor MassCEC HVAC grant project activities to ensure implementation and service delivery as described by the grant program, including staffing, programmatic, reporting and fiscal obligations; </li><li>Work closely with MassCEC Technical Assistant to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding HVAC Training program(s) and on-time monthly reporting, and to ensure grant goals are met; </li><li>Participate in required MassCEC sponsored and partner meetings and share relevant information with the Energy Technology Program Manager, Workforce Development Staff, and community partners; </li><li>Coordinate data collection as required by the grant and assist with enhanced data collection to support ongoing programming and maintain accurate records; </li><li>Maintain coordination of grant services between offices at GCC including Workforce Development Operations, Administration, Resource Navigation, Facilities, Food Service, Business and Grants Offices; </li><li>Foster relationships with employers for internship placements and assessment; </li><li>Maintain and enhance relationships with MassHire Franklin Hampshire Career Center, the Literacy Project, International Language Institute, Houses of Correction and Community Action Pioneer Valley (among others) for recruitment, needs assessment, and collaboration; </li><li>Work closely with the Energy Technology Program Manager, Director of Career and Technical Instruction, Director of Strategic Innovation and Vice President of Workforce Development to coordinate grant-funded programming and goals and facilitate system-building and regional initiatives among community-based organizations, employers and other grant partners; </li><li>Coordinate participant applications ensuring the requisite application components are complete and submitted by stated deadlines and work with the Energy Technology Program Manager to coordinate eligibility determination, candidate interviews, program acceptance and enrollment; </li><li>Coordinate student success and barrier remediation with training participants; </li><li>Guide training participants through application processes for programs, certifications, and job opportunities, offering support at every stage; </li><li>Schedule Community of Practice meetings for training participants and mentors; </li><li>Manage and track project expenditures to ensure consistency with grant and college budget processes; </li><li>Oversee materials procurement and distribution using approved protocols; </li><li>Work with the Energy Technology Program Manager to coordinate additional instructors as needed, recruit participants for HVAC grant-supported training programs and foster employer partnerships; </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) years experience and/or training involving area of assignment, which may include college registration, academic advisement, career development, career experience, training, curriculum development, audio/visual or graphic production, grant administration, budget development, program/project management, event planning, administrative work in an academic and/or social service environment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience; </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Business Administration, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other field related to area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND APTITUDES:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to use technology to track and analyze data, produce reports, and design presentations; </li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills including ability to compose concise, coherent reports; </li><li>Ability to work effectively with diverse trainers, employers, staff and training program participants; </li><li>Ability to prioritize multiple projects, adhere to deadlines and work in an environment with regular interruptions; </li><li>Ability to exercise discretion and interpret privacy regulations governed by FERPA; </li><li>Ability to flexibly adapt to changes, new ideas, and initiatives as part of an evolving program and grant process. </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience with managing grants budgets and data collection for reporting outcomes; </li><li>Demonstrated experience in managing outcomes-based programs; </li><li>Willingness to travel (mostly throughout Franklin and Hampshire counties) and to work occasional evenings and weekends for cohort recruitment events;
