<p>Apply</p> <p>Job Type</p> <p>Full-time</p> <p>Description</p> <p>CERAMIC TILE INSTALLER</p> <p>MADISON, WI</p> <p>We are seeking a qualified Ceramic Tile Installer for residential tile installations in Dane County and surrounding areas.</p> <p>This position is responsible for all aspects of tile installations.</p> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer</p> <p>Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Pick up installation paperwork and materials at warehouse </li><li>Drive to various job sites </li><li>Carry tools to job site </li><li>Carry product to job site </li><li>Ventilate the work area as much as possible </li><li>Move and replace furniture </li><li>Tear out old </li><li>Clean up the area immediately after the old one is removed. Prepare area for tile installation </li><li>Make sure area is smooth; Apply plywood or Masonite and waterproofed, if needed </li><li>Inspect surface to be covered to ensure that it is firm and dry </li><li>Cut and shape tile to fit around obstacles and into odd spaces/corners </li><li>Use hand and power cutting tools </li><li>Mix, apply, and spread plaster, concrete, mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives to form a bed for the tile to adhere to using a brush or trowel </li><li>Align, straighten, and level tile using levels, squares, straightedges, and/or spacers </li><li>Let completely set; dry </li><li>Finish and dress the joints with grout </li><li>Wipe excess from tiles using damp sponge </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma is required; some college preferred </li><li>Must show proficient knowledge of tile installation; 3-5 years minimum </li><li>Must possess the proper tools for installation </li><li>Reliable transportation </li><li>Must have a valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Required Knowledge and Skills</p> <p>Core Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Customer service -- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exceptional customer service </li><li>Mathematics -- Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and their applications. </li></ul> <p>Understand and communicate numerical data.
