<p>Georgian Court University has an opening for Adjunct Faculty in History for the Fall 2025 semester (beginning September 1), in Bayville, NJ. Teach 1-2 sections of World History Survey I. Appreciation for students enrolled in dual high school/university courses is essential.</p> <p>HST-120 Survey of World History 1 (1-2 sections)</p> <p>This a part-time, non-tenure track position which is appointed on a per semester basis.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Teach 3 or more credits per semester of history courses. </li><li>Provide reasonable office hours for students. </li><li>Follow course syllabi provided. </li><li>Complete formal course assessment report at the end of the semester. </li><li>Integrate the core values of respect, compassion, integrity, justice and service in all aspects of interaction. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Advanced degree in History, Ph.D. preferred. </li><li>Evidence of teaching excellence in college-level history courses. </li><li>Strong course evaluations and/or strong recommendations from supervisors. </li><li>Must complete end of the semester course assessments for courses taught. </li><li>Willingness to follow the department's syllabi. </li><li>Experience with course management systems, such as Blackboard. </li><li>Willingness to complete Blackboard Ultra training program (online or on Lakewood campus) before classes begin </li></ul> <p>Must be US work authorized</p>
