Yes</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li>Promotes a philosophy of patient/family focused care through cordial greeting and interactions with patient, families and hospital personnel. </li><li>Provides hospital/unit orientation information for guest, patients and families. </li><li>Demonstrates an awareness of hospital systems and procedures, location of all departments, procedure areas and other patient services. </li><li>Refers patients, families and others to appropriate resources. </li><li>Independently transports and assists in the transfer of patients. </li><li>Properly identifies patients utilizing 2 approved identifiers. </li><li>Ensures safety and support measures in patient transfer (i.e. bedrails raised, patient covered with blanket and warm). </li><li>Is aware of special precautions in transferring patients with precautions. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education</p> <p>High School Diploma or Equivalent required</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Medical Office/Hospital/Managed Care Experience 1 year preferred, and Operating Room Experience 1 year preferred</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to comprehend written directions for mixing cleaning supplies and ordering supplies. </li><li>Must be aware of proper body mechanics when assisting in patient transfer and lifting of heavy objects. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with other health care members. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team. </li><li>Must constantly be alert and attentive to progress of O.R. schedule to meet tight deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Additional Job Details (if applicable)</p> <p>Remote Type</p> <p>Onsite</p> <p>Work Location</p> <p>75 Francis Street</p> <p>Scheduled Weekly Hours</p> <p>40</p> <p>Employee Type</p> <p>Regular</p> <p>Work Shift</p> <p>Rotating (United States of America)</p> <p>EEO Statement:</p> <p>The Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
