Their role is crucial in minimizing risks, preventing accidents, and promoting a safe and sustainable work environment. This role is based out of Rensselaer, IN and would require this individual to be on site regularly.</p> <p>Role Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ensure company adherence to OSHA, ISO14001, and other local, state, and federal safety regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Able to lead/coordinate with site Quality Manager on ISO14001 ongoing registration.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct internal audits and inspections to identify non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement EHS training programs for employees:</p> </li><li> <p>Identify potential hazards and assess risks in the workplace.</p> </li><li> <p>Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and environmental incidents, documenting findings and recommending preventive measures.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement emergency response plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct safety drills and train employees on emergency procedures.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and report environmental regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure employees have access to and properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).</p> </li><li> <p>Implement safety and environmental improvement initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay updated on EHS trends and best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Other job duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (preferred).</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience in EHS or safety management.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Knowledge of OSHA and other relevant regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in an ISO14001, ISO18001, and ISO45001 environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Certification such as OSHA 30/40, CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is a plus.</p> </li></ul> <p>Key Words: EHS, Safety, OSHA, ISO14001, CSP</p> <p>Employment opportunities for positions in the United States may require use of information which is subject to the export control regulations of the United States.
