<p>Job Description:</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Dean of Natural Health & Science and the Director of the Radiologic Technology Program, the Adjunct Instructor is primarily responsible for providing high-quality teaching and instruction to Quincy College students. We are seeking qualified instructors in various disciplines.</p> <p>Radiographic Procedures</p> <p>Image Production</p> <p>EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred.</p> <p>EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Current registration in radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.</p> <p>Current Radiologic Technologist License from the MA Department of Public Health Radiation Control Program</p> <p>Knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising</p> <p>Teaching experience in the subject area at the college level preferred</p> <p>Understanding of and commitment to education and working with a diverse student population</p> <p>Experience using technology in the classroom and/or for distance learning, and traditional/nontraditional methods of instruction preferred.</p> <p>ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Successful completion of Quincy College's certification program (Canvas, Quality Matters, Canvas Studio) for teaching or, in the sole determination of Quincy College, the equivalent of that program</p> <p>Possess a valid driver's license.</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A</p> <p>TRAVEL: N/A</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <p>Provide high-quality teaching/instruction to Quincy College students.</p> <p>Prepare a syllabus that conforms to Quincy College requirements including objectives, required assigned reading, and assessment methods.</p> <p>Attend classes as scheduled.</p> <p>Attend faculty meetings as requested.</p> <p>Maintain a classroom environment that promotes discussion and respects each student.</p> <p>Adhere to the policies as set forth in the "Faculty Handbook", including, but not limited to attendance and make-up policy for missed classes, early dismissal, and final exams.</p> <p>Prepare in advance for each class, check adjunct faculty mailbox for important messages before each class, and communicate any changes in the course syllabus to the class as needed.</p> <p>Prepare and distribute "Notices of Concern" as needed in a timely manner.</p> <p>Maintain current knowledge of professional discipline.</p> <p>Maintain appropriate expertise and competence through continuing professional development.</p> <p>Maintain a laboratory environment that promotes discussion and respects each student.</p> <p>Adhere to the policies as set forth in the "Faculty Handbook", including, but not limited to attendance and make-up policy for missed classes.</p> <p>Prepare in advance for each class, check adjunct faculty mailbox for important messages before each class, and communicate any changes from the course syllabus to the didactic instructor and students as needed.</p> <p>Promptly return all exams and homework giving students feedback on their work</p> <p>Turn in all required paperwork in a timely fashion, including, but not limited to contracts, attendance sheets, and grades.</p> <p>Participate in mandatory training/coursework.
