No remote work arrangement will be considered for working from outside the United States.</p> <p>If you are a current employee, faculty or adjunct instructor at Herzing University (not a Contractor or temporary employee through a staffing agency), please click here to log in to UKG and then navigate to Menu > Myself > My Company > View Opportunities to apply using the internal application process.</p> <p>This is a temporary role with an anticipated end date for the assignment of June 2025.</p> <p>EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent with 3-5 years of related experience; or associate degree or higher with minimum of 1-year related experience. </li><li>Previous experience in student accounts, financial aid, collections, or customer service roles is beneficial. </li><li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely. </li><li>Empathy and patience when dealing with students facing financial difficulties. </li><li>Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities. </li></ul> <p>PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>Debt Recovery:</p> <ul> <li>Contact students with unpaid tuition fees or other outstanding financial obligations through various communication channels, such as phone, email, or text. </li><li>Discuss the nature of the outstanding balances and offer solutions to help students meet their payment obligations, including setting up payment plans, exploring scholarship opportunities, or seeking financial aid. </li></ul> <p>Student Communication:</p> <ul> <li>Conduct all interactions with students in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner. </li><li>Provide accurate and up-to-date information about outstanding balances, payment options, and potential consequences of non-payment. </li><li>Maintain positive relationships with students, offering guidance and support as they work to meet their financial obligations. </li><li>Provide information on available resources and options for financial assistance. </li></ul> <p>Negotiation and Resolution:</p> <ul> <li>Negotiate payment arrangements or extensions with students based on their individual circumstances and Herzing University policies. </li><li>Collaborate with students to identify potential barriers to payment and work together to find feasible solutions. </li></ul> <p>Documentation and Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain records of all interactions with students, including communication details, agreements, and any relevant notes, within the system of record. </li><li>Generate regular reports for management, summarizing collection efforts, recovery progress, and outstanding balances. </li></ul> <p>Regulatory Compliance:</p> <ul> <li>Stay informed about relevant regulations and guidelines that govern student debt collection within the education sector. </li><li>Ensure all collection activities adhere to applicable laws and ethical practices. </li></ul> <p>Conflict Resolution:</p> <ul> <li>Address and resolve student concerns, disputes, and inquiries professionally and in accordance with institutional policies. </li><li>Escalate complex cases to appropriate departments and/or management when necessary to provide comprehensive solutions. </li></ul> <p>Collaboration:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with financial aid, alumni support, student services and other relevant departments to ensure a holistic approach to student payment solutions. </li></ul> <p>To learn more about Herzing University and our values, visit us at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FusbVnks_YQ</p> <p>Herzing University is committed to providing a diverse environment and is dedicated to fostering a culture and atmosphere of mutual respect.
