You will learn consulting competencies, such as industry understanding, client/business perspective, leadership, resource management, opportunity development, consulting business knowledge, partnering and networking, personal interaction, managing quality, business ethics, and continued learning and development.</p> <p>As a data analyst intern in the Modernization and Data Solutions practice, your day-to-day role will include helping with advancing a key service offering for NYSTEC and assisting with preparing service offering materials.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Perform billable and nonbillable consulting services in collaboration with mentor. </li><li>Assist with updating internal materials. </li><li>Learn and possibly participate in the business development and sales process by assisting with project proposals, presentations, and new client activities. </li><li>Develop and foster strong relationships with internal and external clients. </li><li>Proactively share information that will make colleagues and clients more successful. </li><li>Learn and use NYSTEC's appropriate tools and processes. </li><li>Participate in internal and client-facing meetings. </li><li>Prepare reports and presentations. </li></ul> <p>About You:</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Basic understanding of data analysis process and methodolgies. </li><li>Comfortable working under general supervision, receiving minimal instruction for new assignments, and exercising high initiative and discretion in completing tasks. </li><li>Ability to problem solve complex assignments requiring research and analysis. </li><li>Must possess excellent written and verbal communications, strong interpersonal skills, and can manage and develop key relationships with colleagues and clients through collaborative thinking and a strong customer focus. </li><li>Must be well organized, able to work well under pressure, and a good team player. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>This program seeks undergraduate or graduate students with exceptional technical and research skills, combined with strong leadership potential. We look for diverse educational and professional experience.</p> <ul> <li>Enrollment in an accredited degree program that is concentrated in data analytics, data science, health informatics or a related discipline, preferred. </li></ul> <p>The NYSTEC Internship Program for summer 2025 will run from May 12 - August 1. The typical schedule will be during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Specific hours can be negotiated based on the intern's availability.
