<p>Position Summary</p> <p>This position plans, directs, administers and evaluates programs, policies and procedures for the Tax Operations Bureau. This position is responsible for the efficient processing of tax documents, unclaimed property reports and claims, and payments, including administration of exceptions, work lists and amended returns. This position is also responsible for initiation and implementation of new programs, interpretation and application of tax law, formulation of the bureau's strategic plan, re-engineering of processes and coordination and servicing of the other bureaus in the IS&E Division.</p> <p>Click the link to view the full position description.</p> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>Starting salary will be between $50.00 - $57.00 per hour ($104,000 - $118, 560 annually) depending on experience and qualifications, plus benefits.</p> <p>For current State employees, pay on hire will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin Compensation Plan at the time of hire.</p> <p>This position is not represented by a bargaining unit.</p> <p>The Revenue Administrative Manager position is in pay schedule-pay range 81-01.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Background Checks: Due to the nature of this position, final candidates will be subject to criminal background, fingerprint, and tax compliance checks.</p> <p>I-9 Requirements: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (i.e., a citizen or national of the U.S., a lawful permanent resident, an alien authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship) at the time of application. The Department of Revenue does not sponsor work or student visas, either at time of hire or at any later time. DOR participates in E-Verify and will provide the federal government with Form I-9 information for all new employees to confirm authorization to work in the U.S.</p> <p>Remote Work/Telework: This position is eligible for remote work/telework up to 60%. After onboarding and initial learning (approximately one year), telework may gradually increase up to 60% based on employee performance and work unit needs.</p> <p>Probationary Period: A two-year Career Executive trial period may be required.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with large datasets to formulate operational efficiencies and presenting the data to peers and supervisors; and </li><li>Experience identifying, initiating, designing/planning, and implementing business process improvements to ensure accuracy and efficiency; and </li><li>Formal supervisory experience (e.g., evaluate work performance, hire, and onboard staff, conduct performance review, etc.). </li></ul> <p>In addition to the minimum qualifications, well qualified applicants will have the following experience:</p> <ul> <li>Experience overseeing employees working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment (e.g.,1 million or more documents processed annually) with a focus on high customer satisfaction; or </li><li>Experience with program management (e.g., strategic planning including establishing short and long-term goals, developing procedures and policies, monitoring key completion dates, reporting on workload and backlogs, and administration of the budget, etc.); or </li><li>Experience coordinating work activities across multiple different functional work areas, (e.g., bureaus, divisions, departments or agencies, etc.); or </li><li>Experience as a manager of two or more other managers or front-line supervisors in the field of tax administration </li></ul> <p>How To Apply</p> <p>To be considered for this position, you must complete the online application.
