Through our research, outreach and entrepreneurial projects, Clemson University and its employees are driving economic development and improving quality of life in South Carolina and beyond.</p> <p>So,... are you ready?</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Instructor for Clemson LIFE post-secondary education program for young adults with intellectual disabilities.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <p>60% - Essential - Instructions: Provides classroom instruction to Clemson LIFE students.</p> <p>10% - Essential - Curriculum: Creates lesson plans and assists with developing Clemson LIFE curriculum.</p> <p>10% - Essential - Collaboration: Collaborates with program staff to address student needs.</p> <p>10% - Essential - Communication: Effectively communicates with students, parents of Clemson LIFE students, staff and</p> <p>faculty.</p> <p>10% - Essential - Community participation: Participates in fund raising, recruitment and community relations events.</p> <p>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Education - Bachelor's Degree and experience in the field of transition services or with those with disabilities, specifically teaching those with disabilities.</p> <p>Work Experience 1+ years</p> <p>PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>Special Education teaching certification.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>JOB KNOWLEDGE</p> <p>Fundamental Job Knowledge - Fundamental working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to apply in varied situations</p> <p>SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.</p> <p>BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>No Budget Responsibilities - No fiscal responsibility for the department's budget.</p> <p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p> <p>75% - Walk or move about</p> <p>90% - Communicate, converse, give direction, express oneself</p> <p>90% - Recognize or inspect visually</p> <p>90% - Perceive, observe, clarity of vision</p> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS:</p> <p>No Work Conditions</p> <p>WORK SCHEDULE:</p> <p>Standard Hours: 37.5</p> <p>COMPENSATION INFORMATION</p> <p>Expected Salary Range: $38,985.00 - $55,820.00</p> <p>Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL</p> <p>Essential Level 2 employee</p> <p>Required to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume.
