<p>Objective</p> <p>Position duties include but are not limited to: continuously sell and rent equipment from MacAllister's rental store fleet by calling on customers, offices and job sites.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Calling on customers, following up with customers and work through and with peer group to call on offices and job sites to ensure customer satisfaction </li><li>Develop existing accounts and continuously prospect for new customers in order to achieve established goals and objectives </li><li>Educate customers on our products and why MacAllister is the best equipment company in this market </li><li>Set up rentals and sales and negotiate pricing </li><li>Track new construction projects and follow up with contractors </li><li>Completing all necessary paperwork involved </li><li>Staying organized and turning in all call reports and paperwork </li><li>Other related duties and projects assigned by management </li><li>Pass sales leads to appropriate sales representative </li><li>Safety </li><li>Do not violate any safety rule or policy. </li><li>Enforce all personal protective equipment rules and regulations. </li><li>Ensure all safety rules and policies are enforced. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through a high school education; college degree preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 3 years in the equipment </li><li>sales/rental industry </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills </li><li>Moderate computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office. Moderate experience using data base systems. </li><li>A strong knowledge of the product and a good knowledge of the product market with a strong respect for the Caterpillar influence. </li><li>The ability to uphold professionalism with both internal and external customers, including personal appearance and friendly, courteous treatment of peers, subordinates and customers. </li><li>Enjoys thinking outside of the box, being innovative and willing to go the extra mile to close sales </li><li>A self-starter and motivator for the department </li></ul>
