<p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>The Opportunity</p> <p>Servers are an important part of our community providing service, meals, engagement, and comfort to our residents. In addition to delivering food and meals prepared by the kitchen staff, servers will be a go-to member of the team to build rapport with residents who they will see and visit with each day on the job. Servers are responsible for efficiency and timeliness of meal prep and delivery, while essential to communication regarding the needs of the community and our residents.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Customer Service</p> <ul> <li>Provide exceptional customer service while engaging with coworkers and residents </li><li>Bring a heightened awareness for food allergies and preferences, ensuring each resident receives meals as needed </li><li>Deliver meals, food and drinks to residents and their guests with efficiency and professionalism. </li><li>Clean and reset areas of the community, within dining areas, food service areas, and within residents' rooms. </li></ul> <p>Communication</p> <ul> <li>Engage with residents and others in the community with charm, professionalism, respect, and a bright personality. </li><li>Maintain a working knowledge of all menu items, preparation, time, ingredients and method of presentation. </li><li>Relay messaging from residents to the kitchen about dining needs, food preferences and orders, and special requests. </li><li>Use technology, such as a Point of Sale, to provide clear communication between residents and the kitchen. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Bring</p> <p>Experience & Education</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or equivalent preferred </li><li>1-year experience as a server/waiter, or in a similar food service environment </li><li>Working knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures </li></ul> <p>Awareness</p> <ul> <li>Proven ability to recognize tasks and take initiative, especially with safety and sanitation </li><li>Compassion for others and a caring nature </li><li>Demonstration of a strong desire to provide comfort to guests/residents </li></ul> <p>Location Information</p> <p>Five Star Premier Residences of Yonkers is a beautiful community in Yonkers, NY, with more than 310 units offering independent living, assisted living, and Alzheimer's care.</p>
