<p>The Switchgear and Busbar Product Strategy Manager - Americas ensures alignment between Americas Sales organization, Americas Sales Operations organization, Americas Finance organization, and the Switchgear and Busbar Business Unit organization regarding pipeline, orders, sales, and other key financial metrics for the Switchgear and Busbar Business Unit. Reporting directly to the Director Product Strategy Americas - Switchgear and Busbar, this role will also drive visibility and monitoring of regional Switchgear and Busbar product margins, including pricing initiatives, VAVE, cost-out programs, etc. The role will drive product-related strategic planning processes for the Americas region related to the Switchgear and Busbar Business unit. It will also define product business cases for new product development and execute on existing products. Finally, this role will serve as a unified market and customer intelligence provider for the Americas Region.</p> <ul> <li>RESPONSIBILITIES </li><li>Serve as a key contributor for the Americas Region for Switchgear and Busbar related topics in Pipeline, Orders, Sales, and Demand Planning meetings. </li><li>Conduct analysis of and efforts to improve the margin and profitability of the Switchgear and Busbar Business Unit and its subsidiary Product Lines. </li><li>Collaborate directly with the Switchgear and Busbar Business Unit, Americas Finance, Sales, and Sales Ops to lead pricing initiatives. </li><li>Liaise closely with the Americas Switchgear and Busbar Technical Sales/Application Engineering Teams, </li><li>Conduct research market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, and the competitive landscape. </li><li>Collaborate with the Switchgear and Busbar Business Unit, Sales and Sales Ops to ensure Sales Enablement processes and best practices are established for new and evolving products. </li><li>Collect voice of customers and product business cases and share with global products teams. </li><li>Analyze and track metrics to evaluate post-launch sales performance of new offerings, including pipeline and quotation. </li><li>Drive IT Systems Strategic Planning efforts for the Americas Region, partnering with the Switchgear and Busbar Business Unit, the Americas Strategy Team, the Americas Finance Team, and Americas Sales Teams. </li><li>QUALIFICATIONS </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field; Master's in business administration is preferred. </li><li>5 plus years in technical, product management, strategic planning, sales, marketing or directly related experience </li><li>Experience with Switchgear and Busbar products and solutions preferred </li><li>Strong business acumen and strong problem-solving capabilities to address challenges and seize opportunities </li><li>Ability to quickly develop cross-functional relationships to achieve business objectives </li><li>Technical expertise to translate stakeholder needs/pain points to solutions </li><li>Able to combine long-term and short-term goals by setting priorities </li><li>Ability to interact with all levels within the organization from entry level to executive </li><li>Attitude to act as a leader in their role and with curiosity in all that's new (market trends, new technologies etc.) </li><li>Language skills: fluent in English, written and verbal required </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet and other business applications </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS</p> <ul> <li>None </li></ul> <p>TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>Up to 10% as needed </li></ul> <p>The successful candidate will embrace Vertiv's Core Principals & Behaviors to help execute our Strategic Priorities.</p> <p>OUR CORE PRINCIPALS: Safety.
