<p>EFFECTIVE DATE: 2025-2026 School Year</p> <p>ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned</p> <ul> <li>Teaches using district-approved curriculum maps aligned with Indiana State Standards. </li><li>Develops and delivers daily lesson plans that incorporate best instructional practices as outlined in school </li></ul> <p>improvement plans and professional development initiatives.</p> <ul> <li>Uses the district-approved scope and sequence for lesson planning and data analysis. </li><li>Attends assigned professional development and effectively implements learned strategies. </li><li>Designs age-appropriate instructional materials that foster student engagement and learning. </li><li>Provides individualized and small-group instruction to meet diverse student needs. </li><li>Maintains an "effective" or "highly effective" rating in the SCS Teacher Evaluation. </li><li>Assists in developing and evaluating curriculum maps. </li><li>Participates in the textbook adoption process. </li><li>Regularly analyzes data to inform instructional decisions. </li><li>Evaluates student academic and social growth, maintains accurate records, and prepares progress reports. </li><li>Administers required assessments per Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) guidelines and complies </li></ul> <p>with testing security policies.</p> <ul> <li>Keeps students and parents informed of academic progress and behavioral expectations. </li><li>Identifies student needs, makes appropriate referrals, and implements accommodations/interventions per </li></ul> <p>IEPs, ILPs, 504 Plans, or MTSS Plans.</p> <ul> <li>Creates an organized, engaging learning environment with functional displays and student work exhibits. </li><li>Integrates technology for instruction, communication, and classroom management. </li><li>Establishes and maintains high standards of student behavior to promote a positive learning atmosphere. </li><li>Demonstrates proficiency in oral and written English communication. </li><li>Maintains open and timely communication with parents regarding student progress and concerns. </li><li>Collaborates with instructional assistants, parents, and volunteers in the classroom, school events, and field </li></ul> <p>trips.</p> <ul> <li>Upholds knowledge of and compliance with corporation and school policies. </li><li>Completes clerical tasks and reports related to job responsibilities in a timely manner. </li><li>Maintains satisfactory attendance. </li><li>Adheres to Corporation Bylaws, Policies, and the Employee Handbook. </li><li>Models the Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental Objectives. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
