The position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments within the company.</p> <p>Duties and Responsibilities</p> <p>Process payroll for assigned region, ensuring compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations</p> <p>Perform payroll-related reconciliations and audits to ensure accuracy and completeness</p> <p>Manage payroll tax compliance, including filing of all required tax returns and remittance of taxes</p> <p>Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and concerns</p> <p>Stay up-to-date on changes to payroll laws and regulations, and ensure compliance with all applicable requirements</p> <p>Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and other departments to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing</p> <p>Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance payroll operations</p> <p>Educational background / Work experience</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred. Relevant certifications, such as Certified Payroll Professional (CPP), are a plus.</p> <p>At least 5 years of experience in payroll processing, with a demonstrated ability to manage payroll operations for a large organization</p> <p>Experience working with payroll systems, preferably ADP Workforce Now</p> <p>Knowledge of payroll tax laws and regulations at the federal, state, and local levels</p> <p>Skills & Competencies</p> <p>Strong attention to detail and ability to work with confidential information</p> <p>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</p> <p>Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities</p> <p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</p> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications</p> <p>Function / Market & Industry Knowledge / Business Acumen / Processes</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities (if any)</p> <p>May supervise junior payroll staff as needed.</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Experience working in the transportation and logistics industry</p> <p>Experience working with multi-state and/or international payroll processing</p> <p>Familiarity with HRIS systems and processes</p> <p>Experience with process improvement initiatives</p> <p>Language skills</p> <p>Fluent in English (oral and written)</p> <p>Computer Literacy</p> <p>Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications is required.</p> <p>Experience with payroll processing software, such as ADP Workforce Now, is preferred.</p> <p>At Will Employment</p> <p>DSV Air & Sea Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as "at will" employees.
