<p>Job Summary</p> <p>Performs clerical duties that support the Imaging services' operations.</p> <p>Job Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Check-in patients for appointment(s). </li><li>Thorough knowledge of radiology and hospital information system(s). </li><li>Perform clerical duties such as copying, faxing, CD imaging, </li><li>May perform office procedures such as referrals, X Ray scheduling, and or coordinate other scheduling activities with patient. Collaborate as needed. </li><li>Utilize hospital/department communication: telephone, interface messaging, and paging system appropriately. </li><li>Required to answer incoming calls from patients, medical offices, health care facilities, and other. Answer questions, and or routing to the appropriate department or person. </li><li>Assume information management responsibilities. Oversee Imaging received and sent, may request images to be sent. inform the healthcare team as required of images and the status. </li><li>Have knowledge and skills pertinent to the functional approach to patient care and the organization. Uses independent judgement in setting priorities. Able to delegate tasks as appropriate. </li><li>Perform duties as an active member of the healthcare team including but not limited to patient transportation and patient/department relations. Participate in performance improvement activities as requested. </li><li>Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at various stages of development. Able to demonstrate a high degree of independent access to confidential patient and organizational information and must be able to handle such information appropriately. </li><li>Demonstrate knowledge of team dynamics and contribute to team building and skills related to participation in and strengthening of the multidisciplinary team approach to the delivery of patient care and organization function. </li><li>Requires ability to understand and comply with applicable departmental policies and procedures, and government regulations. Maintain confidentiality of patient visits, records and correspondence including department issues where necessary. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Education Requirements</p> <p>Minimum: High School diploma or equivalent</p> <p>Preferred: Business school certificate or equivalent experience</p> <p>Experience Requirements</p> <p>Minimum: Medical Terminology Training</p> <p>License/Certification Requirements - None</p>
