<p>Job Description</p> <p>GENERAL FUNCTION:</p> <p>Serve as CTtransit's Operations Implementation Manager's data analyst in operations implementation tracking, reporting, and support to assist in successful service delivery to achieve established goals, performance expectations set forth by the Director of Operations Technology.</p> <p>This position reports directly to the Operations Implementation Manager. The position is responsible for assisting in project management, and training of the maintenance staff in various procedures.</p> <p>Examples of Duties</p> <ul> <li>Assist the Operations Implementation Manager with project management. </li><li>Serve as an SME/Trainer on the equipment on the bus. </li><li>Collect and monitor CAD/AVL system data issues and identify opportunities for improvement. </li><li>Identify and communicate trends and operational issues. </li><li>Provide training and support on CAD/AVL, Business Intelligence, TransitMaster, OPS and other system data-related tools. </li><li>Translates, interprets, analyses data impacting key performance indicators and communicating findings to key stakeholders. </li><li>Monitoring, evaluating, and supporting projects related to CAD/AVL system data to determine CTtransit service compliance. </li><li>Coordinating CAD/AVL system data issue resolution with vendors and CTtransit locations. </li><li>Coordinating integration of CAD/AVL system data with integrated CTtransit. </li><li>Providing training and support to different departments on systems as needed. </li><li>Coordinating work activities with transit operations personnel for field and electronic data collection and data integrity. </li><li>Assists with special events and special services. </li><li>Assists in maintaining department databases. </li><li>Assists other departments and divisions as needed. </li><li>Responds to inquiries for information from employees, senior leadership, and/or external partners as needed. </li><li>Assists in managing problems and emergencies involving any department or divisions after hours. </li><li>Work cooperatively with all levels of personnel. </li><li>Attends in-service training, seminars or other opportunities for professional development as made available by the Agency. Provides training for Agency personnel as required. Actively participates in staff meetings, trainings, etc. </li><li>Has thorough working knowledge of Agency policies and procedures, and collective bargaining agreements. </li><li>Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Minimum possession of a bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, analytics, information technology or a closely related field, and one (1) year of relevant work experience or recent relevant course work is required. </li><li>An equivalent combination of education and work experience on a year-for-year basis can be substituted for the 4-year degree requirement. </li><li>Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists is required. </li><li>Experience working directly with customers. </li><li>Knowledge of project management strongly preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of public transit operations, policies and procedures and regulations strongly preferred. </li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, tact, and diplomacy required. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to multitask, manage multiple projects, ability to conduct training when necessary is required. </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint required. The ability to quickly learn new software programs is required. </li><li>The ability to prioritize projects and to work both independently and in a team environment. </li><li>A valid Driver's License is required.
