This position involves filling prescriptions, packing and labeling medications, clerical filing, entry of prescriptions, and inventory management.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently. </li><li>Pack and label medications for distribution. </li><li>Perform clerical filing duties. </li><li>Enter prescription information into the system. </li><li>Manage and maintain inventory levels. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Pharmacy technician certification (CPhT). </li><li>Experience in a retail pharmacy environment. </li><li>Proficiency in filling prescriptions, inventory management, and data entry. </li><li>Ability to accurately label and refill medications. </li><li>Excellent customer service skills. </li><li>Strong communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency with computers and relevant software. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Pharmacy technician license. </li><li>Experience with medication refill and fulfillment processes. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position is based in an outpatient pharmacy located on the main campus, 1st Floor, Visitor Parking Garage #1. The environment is customer-facing, similar to a retail pharmacy. This is a high-volume pharmacy that fills 1200-1500 prescriptions per day, with 300-400 being filled by the Parata machine, which holds 168 medications. The team consists of 35-40 people, including pharmacy technicians, the medication access team, and pharmacists. Shifts rotate on a 9-week schedule, with shifts including 6:45am-3:15pm, 8:30am-5pm, 10am-6:30pm, and 11:45am-8:15pm. Employees are informed of their shifts at least one week in advance, typically much sooner. The pharmacy is also open on holidays, with shifts from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, and employees typically work around one holiday every two years due to the large team size.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
