At NYSTEC, we know that we succeed when our employees flourish personally and professionally.</p> <p>About the Internship Experience:</p> <p>In the NYSTEC internship program, you will gain valuable hands-on experience under the direction of an assigned mentor. You will learn human resources competencies, specifically for the recruitment function, such as coordinating interviews, communicating with candidates and hiring managers, maintaining an applicant tracking system, and the hiring and onboarding process.</p> <p>The NYSTEC internship program for summer 2024 will run from May 12 - August 1. The typical schedule will be during normal business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Specific hours can be negotiated based on your availability.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assist with scheduling interviews and coordinating communication between candidates, the recruitment team, and managers. </li><li>Post job opportunities on various platforms. </li><li>Maintain and update the applicant tracking system. </li><li>Source candidates on recruiting platforms. </li><li>Act as a liaison between human resources and the interns in the summer internship program. </li><li>Participate in and collect notes from internal meetings. </li></ul> <p>About You:</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Excellent organizational and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to work in a team environment. </li><li>Proactive attitude and willingness to learn. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience working in a professional office environment. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <p>This opportunity seeks a student with a concentration related to human resources, business administration, organizational effectiveness, or a related field.
