<p>Position Overview: The 4th Grade Literacy Teacher is responsible for providing a comprehensive literacy education to students in the fourth grade. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, fostering a positive learning environment, and assessing student progress to support literacy development. The teacher will work collaboratively with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities: Curriculum Development: Design and implement a literacy curriculum that meets the needs of diverse learners. Incorporate various teaching methods and resources to engage students in reading, writing, and language arts.</p> <p>Instruction: Deliver effective literacy instruction using evidence-based practices. Facilitate small group and individual instruction to support differentiated learning.</p> <p>Assessment: Monitor and assess student progress through formative and summative assessments. Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and provide feedback to students and parents.</p> <p>Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Implement behavior management strategies to promote a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.</p> <p>Collaboration: Collaborate with fellow teachers, specialists, and staff to enhance literacy instruction and support student success. Participate in professional development opportunities to improve teaching practices.</p> <p>Communication: Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and literacy development. Provide resources and strategies for families to support literacy at home.</p> <p>Professional Responsibilities: Engage in continuous professional growth and stay updated on current literacy research and best practices. Participate in school meetings, committees, and community events to contribute to the school's mission.</p> <p>Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field. Valid AR teaching license in literacy or elementary education. Experience in teaching literacy at the elementary level is preferred.
