<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Logistics Center Director will oversee and manage the operations of the logistics facility and distribution center.</p> <p>Supervisory Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Hires and supervises necessary logistics personnel responsible for all daily functions.</p> </li><li> <p>Dispatchers</p> </li><li> <p>Approx. 50 Drivers</p> </li><li> <p>Oversee the driver-related workflows to support the following 24/7 internal & routine logistics operations and corresponding team members.</p> </li><li> <p>Silage/Feed related Products</p> </li><li> <p>Dairy Manure Hauling</p> </li><li> <p>Substrate Hauling</p> </li><li> <p>Land Application</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborates with Facility Maintenance department to provide timely & complete information on truck and trailer repair needs</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.</p> </li><li> <p>Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.</p> </li><li> <p>Full Time on-site role</p> </li></ul> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Gathers needed information on and understanding of company demands; meets specific needs for business functions on a timely and accurate basis </li><li>Identifies problems and inefficiencies in logistics processes; presents and implements enhancements and solutions to address these issues. </li><li>Maintains current knowledge of logistics and technology developments and trends; recommends and implements improvements based on this knowledge to provide more efficient service. </li><li>Oversees compliance with traffic & safety regulations and provide proactive solutions to ensure safety for drivers </li><li>Maintain fleets & regulatory functions to ensure proper road readiness </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent managerial and supervisory skills. </li><li>Excellent analytical skills </li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks and a variety of duties. </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills. </li><li>Proficient with computer-based management systems for logistic management tools that drive high degree of organization & efficiency </li><li>Bi-lingual not required but beneficial (English & Spanish) </li><li>Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree preferred. </li><li>Five years of experience in logistics management or transportation industry required. </li></ul>
