<p>If you are a current Barnard College employee, please use the internal career site to apply for this position.</p> <p>Job:</p> <p>Associate Director, Workday Reporting & Analytics</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>As the College's Workday expert-in-residence for reporting, you will comprehensively understand Workday Reporting & Analytics, including Report Writer, Composite Reporting, Calculated Fields, Dashboards, Discovery Boards, and Worksheets. This role will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining Workday reports and dashboards that support HR, Payroll, Finance, and other business units. This position will collaborate with stakeholders to analyze data needs, create insightful reports, and ensure robust data integrity while optimizing reporting capabilities within Workday and creating or seeking efficiencies.</p> <p>This job is primarily performed remotely but will require a presence in the office (in addition to duties previously specified as on-site) for periodic team and staff meetings and other times as directed by the supervisor.</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Report Development: Create, enhance, and maintain Workday reports, including Advanced, Matrix, Composite, and Custom Reports to meet business needs. </li><li>Dashboards and Analytics: Build dashboards and optimize data models for in-depth analytics (preferred). </li><li>Performance Optimization: Regularly review and optimize report performance for efficiency and accuracy, ensuring reports run efficiently with minimal latency. </li><li>Collaboration: Work closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, and IT teams to gather reporting requirements, deliver practical solutions, and enable the success of organizational initiatives. </li><li>Data Analysis and Insights: Collect, analyze, and interpret data from various systems (i.e., Workday, payroll outputs) to provide actionable insights and identify potential gaps and opportunities. </li><li>Technology Assessment: Assess and implement new analytics-related technologies as needs arise. </li><li>Data Integrity and Validation: Perform audits, troubleshoot inconsistencies, and ensure data accuracy across all reports. Develop and maintain secure custom data sources following standard operating procedures. Serve as data lead during cross-functional engagements, analysis, and product evaluation. </li><li>Documentation and Training: Prepare reports and dashboards for client groups/senior leadership; educate end users on Workday reporting best practices; maintain thorough documentation and consistently outreach to departments seeking efficiencies and development of repeatable processes. </li><li>Compliance: Understand and manage Workday security roles and data permissions for report access and compliance. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Qualifications & Requirements:</p> <p>Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Strong understanding of HR, Payroll, and Finance data structures in Workday.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with SQL, Excel, or other data analysis tools for deeper insights.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of tailoring messaging for various audiences.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior management and technical resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to evolve with new Workday features and concepts as they are released or products are acquired.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong critical thinking skills to analyze technical issues and facilitate decision-making.</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of Workday Reporting, Analytics, and Data Warehousing experience.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with BI Tools such as Tableau, Cognos, or Business Objects.</p> </li><li> <p>Understanding of data modeling concepts.</p> </li><li> <p>Workday Certification in at least one of the following: Workday Financials, Workday Reporting is preferred.</p> </li></ul> <p>Physical Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time. </li></ul> <p>Salary Range: $115,000 - $124,000 annually</p> <p>The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training.
