<p>Description</p> <p>Become part of an inclusive organization with over 40,000 diverse employees, whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of the unique communities we serve.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>The Clinical Nursing Assistant is responsible for coordinating and delivering patient care utilizing the nursing process under the direction of a Registered Nurse in a hospital setting.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assist physicians and other health care providers with routine examinations and procedures, as well as procurement of equipment and supplies during emergency situations.</p> </li><li> <p>Observes, collects, and documents patient information obtained while providing care and promptly report significant changes in the patient's condition to a registered nurse or physician.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists patients and their families during admission to the clinical area, orientation to the hospital/clinic/home health experience, and discharge.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides care/ treatments to patients as outlined in plan of care including, but not limited to:</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p>Monitoring of vital signs</p> </li><li> <p>Measurement of height and weight</p> </li><li> <p>Specimen collection</p> </li><li> <p>Skin preps/scrubs such as chlorohexidine (CHG) bathing</p> </li><li> <p>Catheter care</p> </li><li> <p>Capillary blood glucose checks</p> </li><li> <p>Simple wound care</p> </li><li> <p>Range-of-motion exercises</p> </li><li> <p>Drain care</p> </li><li> <p>Assist patients with routine activities of daily living (ADL) such as bathing, dressing, feeding and assisting with ambulation as outlined in plan of care</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains an effective clinical work environment including but not limited to cleaning the work area, changing linens, maintaining and monitoring supply levels, and transporting patients / specimens throughout hospital.</p> </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Required</p> <ul> <li>Must have nursing assistant certification, such as Nurse Aide I registration as administered by the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) or equivalent </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification </li></ul> <p>Job Details</p> <p>Legal Employer: Pardee - HCHC</p> <p>Entity: Pardee UNC Health Care</p> <p>Organization Unit: Nursing Flex Pool</p> <p>Work Type: Per Diem</p> <p>Standard Hours Per Week: 4 - 18 hours (Flexible)</p> <p>Work Schedule: Night Job</p> <p>Location of Job: PARDEEHOSP</p> <p>Exempt From Overtime: Exempt: No</p>
