Our investments in product and manufacturing innovation has created an expanded capability to address new and larger opportunities, while increasing our cost efficiencies.</p> <p>VPG is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Senior Accountant who supports our General Ledger accounting functions to join our DSI team.</p> <p>This is an onsite role in Poestenkill, NY!</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Manage and compile SOX documentation and ensure compliance with financial controls</p> <p>Compile financial statements, analysis of financial data, forecasting and budgeting</p> <p>Prepare and maintain product cost data</p> <p>Report on quantities, valuation, sales and usage of inventory</p> <p>Responsible for evaluating and implementing internal controls that are necessary to ensure that all company assets and records are properly recorded</p> <p>Management of month end close process</p> <p>Compile and prepare reconciliations of balance sheet accounts</p> <p>Maintain and mange general ledger, sub-ledgers such as AP, AR and fixed assets, accruals, pre-paid, bank accounts and any other necessary accounting data</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics or business management. MBA, CPA, CMA preferred, but not required</p> <p>5-10 years related financial and cost accounting and ERP systems experience.</p> <p>Advance knowledge of accounting systems, MS Office.</p> <p>Ability to work under time pressure and comply with deadlines.</p> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Base Salary: $80,000 - $85,000 </li><li>Company sponsored benefits that include medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D insurance, disability and flexible spending account (FSA) </li><li>Voluntary Critical Illness & Accidental Injury Insurance </li><li>Company 401(k) Plan with 4% employer match (Employee/Employer Contributions 100% vested upon hire) </li><li>Paid vacation and holidays </li></ul> <p>The estimated salary range allows for candidates with various levels of skills and experience to be considered, as well as provides room for growth achieved within the role over time.
