Ultimately, your goal as an OT is to help people re-learn skills needed to live independent, productive and satisfying lives. Aside from providing unmatched support, you will also have opportunities to participate in special interest groups, committees and education resources.</p> <p>A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM - 4:30PM and 7:00AM - 6:30PM.</p> <p>A caregiver who excels in this role will:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate and treat occupational therapy patients. </li><li>Communicate to referral sources about patients' initial condition, progress and discharge disposition. </li><li>Complete patient related and non-patient related documentation in a timely manner. </li><li>Delegate and supervise the patient care of COTA's, support staff and students. </li><li>Market services to patients, referral sources and the public. </li><li>Effectively organize work assignments and time without compromising quality patient care while achieving maximum productivity and efficiency. </li><li>Achieve personal and professional development through participation in continuing education, in-services, orientation programs and student programs. </li><li>Maintain an orderly and safe work environment by keeping treatment areas and department clean. </li><li>Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department specific competencies, requirements, certification and/or licensure. </li></ul> <p>Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy </li><li>Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in the State of Ohio </li><li>Current CPR Certification </li></ul> <p>Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:</p> <ul> <li>Occupational Therapy experience </li></ul> <p>Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
