This critical role focuses on advancing instructional excellence, promoting innovative educational practices, and managing state and federal grant programs districtwide. The Director will work closely with district leadership, building administrators, and instructional staff to ensure all students have access to high-quality, future-ready learning experiences.</p> <p>Primary Duties will include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Lead and support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of curriculum and instructional practices. </li><li>Champion innovation in teaching and learning, including integration of educational technology, personalized learning strategies, and project-based learning. </li><li>Coordinate the district's professional learning program to build capacity and support staff growth. </li><li>Oversee the administration and compliance of all state and federal grant programs, including Title funding, and other relevant programs. </li><li>Collaborate with district leadership to align instructional initiatives with strategic goals. </li><li>Analyze student performance data to inform instructional decisions and improve student outcomes. </li><li>Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. </li><li>Serve as a resource and support to building principals and instructional coaches. </li><li>Stay current with educational research, trends, and legislation. </li><li>Work in collaboration with the Leadership Team to plan and direct staff development programming. </li><li>Work in collaboration with Instructional Technology/Data Specialist to insure data driven instruction. </li><li>Work in collaboration with Literacy Specialist to assess and improve literacy instruction in grades K-8. </li><li>Provide oversight of grading and reporting. </li><li>Lead and meet regularly with Teacher Leaders to ensure horizontal and vertical articulation. </li><li>Lead and provide oversight of standardized assessment program in consort with the Director of Student Services. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Master's degree or higher </li><li>Valid Ohio administrative certification or licensure </li><li>Deep understanding of curriculum development, assessment practices, and instructional strategies </li><li>Proven success in leading standards-based school improvement initiatives </li><li>Proficient in the use of technology to support instruction and operations </li><li>Strong knowledge of research-based pedagogy and effective instructional practices </li><li>Exceptional skills in organization, planning, and both verbal and written communication </li></ul> <p>Application Process:</p> <p>Internal Candidates: Please apply on-line via the Perry Local Schools web-site at www.perry-lake.org See "Job Opportunities" "Internal Candidates".</p> <p>External Candidates: Please apply on-line via the Perry Local Schools web-site at www.perry-lake.org See "Job Opportunities" "External Candidates".</p> <p>Selection Procedure: Satisfy all statutory provisions governing submission of all pre-employment requirements including a criminal record background check and recommendation of prior employer(s).</p> <p>Questions: Please contact: Todd Porcello at porcellot@perry-lake.org or 440-259-9200 x3399</p> <p>Application Deadline: May 9, 2025</p> <p>Date Posted: April 24, 2025</p> <p>(Note: The District retains the right not to fill this vacancy depending on District needs.)</p>
