We also provide attractive working conditions and opportunities for career growth through professional development.</p> <p>Discover why Cooper University Health Care is the employer of choice in South Jersey.</p> <p>Short Description</p> <p>Performs essential duties in the histology laboratory according to accepted practices.</p> <p>Performs frozen section processing for Mohs micrographic surgery - Cuts tissue in ultra thin sections modifying technique based on tissue type.</p> <p>Performs routine, special and Immunohistochemical staining procedures.</p> <p>Prepares tissue specimens for routine and special processing, selects correct protocol based on physician orders.</p> <p>Experience Required</p> <p>One year laboratory experience preferred (Student experience acceptable.</p> <p>Education Requirements</p> <p>Associate's degree and completion of an accredited histology technician or other applicable training program is preferred.</p> <p>Training and experience in lieu of education is acceptable.</p> <p>License/Certification Requirements</p> <p>ASCP (American Society for Clinical Pathology) Registry preferred.</p>
