( 4 hours daily)</p> <p>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS REQUIRED:</p> <p>EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's Degree and hold appropriate Indiana certification.Summer school programming for IREAD remediation must be taught by a teacher, instructor, or tutor who is trained in science of</p> <p>reading, meaning the instructor must have completed at least 25 hours from the Early Literacy Endorsement Verified Professional Development Programs</p> <p>and be working toward earning the EarlyLiteracy Endorsement if required for their license renewal after June 30, 2027.</p> <p>GENERAL FUNCTIONS/PROFESSIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>The primary functions of the teacher is to plan, guide, and evaluate the learning process of the students for whom they are responsible within the framework of the school organization and curriculum. </li><li>Able to work effectively with a wide range of students; able to work effectively with the staff and administration; effectively communicate with other staff, administration, students, parents and community; familiar with and applies appropriate reading instruction. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintains regular and punctual attendance.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates thorough lesson preparation using a variety of methods and materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluates student performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Provides for individual differences in students.</p> </li><li> <p>Employs positive motivational techniques.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of subject matter.</p> </li><li> <p>Uses appropriate disciplinary measures both within the classroom and throughout the school.</p> </li><li> <p>Exhibits classroom organization.</p> </li><li> <p>Completes and maintains records or forms as required.</p> </li><li> <p>Follows policies and procedures of the school and School Corporation.</p> </li><li> <p>Fulfills duty assignments conscientiously.</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates with parents in a courteous and tactful manner.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops rapport with students.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains professional relationships with colleagues.</p> </li><li> <p>Strives for professional self-improvement and skill development.</p> </li><li> <p>Be an example of exemplary adult behavior for students.</p> </li><li> <p>Projects a genuine care and concern for all students.</p> </li><li> <p>Any other duties as assigned by principal/designee.</p> </li></ul> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS:</p> <p>While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk, reach with hands and arms, climb, balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
