<p>We are seeking an organized and proactive Assistant Housekeeping Manager to oversee environmental maintenance in our senior living community. This role supervises housekeeping staff and ensures high standards in resident home cleaning, carpet stain extraction, trash and linen management, wheelchair cleaning, and resident relocations. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with contractors for pest meditation and waste removal, assisting staff with equipment operation, prioritizing assignments, and supervising daily tasks.The ideal candidate demonstrates leadership, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to our community's core values. This supervisory position also supports performance evaluations and ensures compliance with all policies and regulations.</p> <p>Essential Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Establish and review standards and work procedures for all housekeeping staff in accordance with established policies and practices of the facility </li><li>Plan work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services are rendered to all areas </li><li>Interview, select, hire and evaluate facility housekeeping personnel in accordance with facility standards </li><li>Orient, train, and supervise all housekeeping staff </li><li>Conduct daily inspections and evaluations of the facility and recommend action items </li><li>Conduct regular staff meetings and communicate with members of other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities </li><li>Schedule major project work, assuring that adequate staff and supplies are available </li><li>Investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and take corrective action </li><li>Interact with members of the community impacted by both historical and current activities </li><li>Responsible for development and schedule for Training of all Support Services Employees on Support Services Cleaning & Disinfecting Practices </li><li>Responsible for Training of all Support Services Employees, all Shifts </li><li>Responsible for Validating Employee Competencies and creating documentation trail when needed </li></ul> <p>Other Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management. </li><li>Essential functions are subject to modification at the discretion of management. </li></ul> <p>Required Skills & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Leadership & Supervision - Ability to oversee and direct housekeeping staff, assign tasks, and evaluate performance. </li><li>Problem-Solving Skills - Capable of troubleshooting issues related to cleaning equipment, prioritizing assignments, and handling service complaints. </li><li>Communication & Interpersonal Skills - Strong verbal and written communication to interact effectively with staff, residents, and contractors. </li><li>Time Management & Organization - Ability to plan schedules, coordinate housekeeping activities, and ensure efficient operations. </li><li>Knowledge of Cleaning & Environmental Services - Experience in floor care, disinfecting practices, and environmental maintenance. </li><li>Training & Development - Ability to train, validate competencies, and document employee performance in housekeeping operations. </li><li>Regulatory Compliance Awareness - Understanding of safety regulations, confidentiality policies, and employment laws in a healthcare/senior living environment. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>5-7 Years Environmental Service (Required)</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent Communication Skills, Excellent Interpersonal Skills, Microsoft Office</p> </li><li> <p>Valid driver's license and access to motor vehicle (Required).</p> </li></ul>
