Take your career to the next level with us as opportunities for growth and development await!</p> <p>JOB SUMMARY AND RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <p>Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the Budget Manager directs, supports and participates in development and management of the City operating and capital budget. At the city-wide level, this position will direct, recommend, support and participate in budgetary, organizational, business process, service delivery systems and management reviews and analysis; fiscal, program and policy analysis and development; financial or managerial accounting matters of a high level and significant complexity. This position also consults on or manages, as directed, the implementation of technology, or business process projects; conducts research and studies on financial, economic development and managerial projects or programs; coordinates employees, contractors, or others in a team environment, makes recommendations for improvements. This position will serve as a management resource in union negotiations.</p> <p>The City's Budget Manager position is responsible for the development of the operating and capital improvement program budgets; including gathering, developing and analyzing of data for on-going and new program requests along with designing and implementing effective budgeting policies and procedures. The position will ensure that the City's budget adheres to legal regulations and best practices through collaboration with department managers. These standards, GFOA, will be utilized to allocate resources efficiently and ensure the financial planning aligns with organizational goals. This is a full-time Unaffiliated position, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, and provides an excellent work life balance.
