<p>Position at New York City Transit</p> <p>JOB INFORMATION</p> <p>Title: Transit Management Analyst Series</p> <p>First Date of Posting: 4/23/25</p> <p>Last Date of Filing: 5/15/25</p> <p>Authority: TA</p> <p>Department: Subways</p> <p>Division/Unit: MOW Engineering</p> <p>Reports to: Senior Director, Automated Track Inspections</p> <p>Work Location: 130 Livingston Street</p> <p>Hours of Work: Various</p> <p>COMPENSATION</p> <p>Salary Range:</p> <p>Assistant Transit Management Analyst I: $65,954 - $78,079 (TA)</p> <p>Assistant Transit Management Analyst II: $76,577 - $85,288 (TA)</p> <p>Associate Transit Management Analyst: $86,565 - $112,083 (TA)</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <p>The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating accurate suspect defect reporting on the operation of NYCT's Track Geometry and Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Testing of all mainline tracks. The candidate will be responsible for the scheduling, coverage, and accurate testing of all mainline tracks in accordance with the direction from the Senior Director of Automated Track Inspections. The candidate will be responsible for performing detailed, accurate and complete analysis of track geometry defects and monthly reporting for the Automated Track Geometry group. The candidate will prepare detailed reports of the conditions found as well as recommend corrective action of the defects positively identified in the field or with the TGC video inspections. The incumbent will be responsible for the maintenance and update of track geometry and Ultrasonic Rail Flaw defect databases and the overall quality control of track geometry and Ultrasonic Rail Flaw Testing reporting.</p> <p>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</p> <p>Assistant Transit Management Analyst I and II:</p> <ul> <li>A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and one year of satisfactory full-time professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports; or </li><li>A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above. </li></ul> <p>Associate Transit Management Analyst:</p> <ul> <li>A master's degree from an accredited college in business administration, public administration, public policy, engineering, engineering technology, economics, architecture, mathematics, physics, computer science, finance, accounting, transportation planning, industrial psychology, urban planning/studies, human resources management, labor relations, operations research, security management or in a related area, and two years of full-time satisfactory professional experience in the collection, evaluation and use of data relating to operational procedures, administrative systems, equipment and space utilization, and staffing requirements, including the preparation of charts, graphs, drawings and technical reports. One year of experience must have been in the transportation industry; or </li><li>A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in one of the areas listed in "1" above; and three years of full-time satisfactory experience as described in "1" above. One year of this experience must have been in the transportation industry. </li></ul> <p>DESIRED SKILLS</p> <ul> <li>Strong communication skills. </li><li>Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Tableau, Power BI applications. </li><li>Strong writing, research, and interpretation skills. </li><li>Ability to function independently with limited work direction. </li><li>Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. </li></ul> <p>SELECTION METHOD</p> <p>Based on evaluation of education, skills, experience and interview.</p> <p>All selected candidates will be subject to a full background investigation that includes employment and education.
