<p>Maintenance Technician</p> <p>#29890</p> <p>Location: Reading, PA</p> <p>Company: Dairy Farmers of America</p> <p>Category: Manufacturing</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician.</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of heating systems, refrigeration, basic electricity, and mechanics. </li><li>Able to read electrical schematics, reset breakers, test fuses, install & alight a pump, and understand basic rigging. </li><li>Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment as well as utility related equipment in compliance with all safety procedures </li><li>Support the installation of new equipment, support and implementation of preventive maintenance program </li><li>Assist the machine operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime </li><li>Ensure all repairs are documented </li><li>Keep management informed of any maintenance issues </li><li>Complete work orders as assigned </li><li>Dedicate effort to safety as we expect every employee to leave work in the same condition as they arrive </li><li>Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements </li><li>Exhibit the values and ethics of Dairy Farmers of America through honesty, discretion, and sound judgment </li><li>Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity </li><li>Attend required training, including but not limited to Safety, GMP, Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP), and Safe Quality Foods (SQF) </li><li>Work schedule includes on call and weekend shifts </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma orGED </li><li>General mechanical and maintenance knowledge - must be able to pass appropriate maintenance testing </li><li>4 years of process manufacturing environment maintenance work experience required. </li><li>Certification and/or License -- 2 year formal mechanical and/ or electrical education certificate preferred </li></ul> <p>Salary:</p> <p>$31.00/ hour</p>
